Objective measurements as a foundation for progress and motivation

PerformanceBoost offers customized tests and follow-up for anyone who wants to perform – whether you’re a recreational athlete, ambitious amateur, elite athlete, or a company seeking to motivate employees through physical activity.

Our tests:

VO2 Max – the measure of endurance

VO2 max is the most reliable indicator of your maximum oxygen uptake capacity and reveals a lot about both endurance and health.

  • Provides insight into how efficiently your body uses oxygen

  • Helps you set realistic training goals

  • Perfect for runners, cyclists, cross-country skiers, and triathletes

  • The test is performed with increasing workload until exhaustion, lasting about 4–10 minutes

 

Lactate Test – find your optimal intensity/training zones

A lactate test shows how your body responds to different intensities.

  • Measures when lactate begins to accumulate in the blood

  • Identifies your individual training zones so you can get more out of your workouts

  • Gives concrete data to improve speed and endurance in competition

  • Essential for targeted training toward 10K, half and full marathons, ski races, and other endurance events

  • The test is performed with intervals of increasing intensity and typically lasts 30–45 minutes

 

Strength Tests – strength as a performance factor

Strength tests map muscle strength, balance, and stability, and reveal which areas should be prioritized for improved performance.

  • Helps prevent injuries and overuse issues

  • Gives you tools to train smarter

  • Important for runners, skiers, and anyone aiming to maximize training effectiveness

  • The test is conducted as a one-on-one assessment with sport-specific exercises and lasts about 1 hour

Where can you test?

Testing can be done on roller skis, running, cycling, or strength – on the ski treadmill in our mobile testing trailer (we come to you) or outdoors.

We operate throughout Eastern Norway, and we are working on a schedule showing where the PerformanceBoost trailer is at all times. Send us an email (info@prestasjonsboost.no) if you want us to come to your location.

  • Lactate Profile Running – 1600 NOK

  • VO2 Max + Lactate Profile Roller Ski/Cycling – 2400 NOK
